Aussie In Action
I just got back from seeing Keith Urban this weekend in Dallas, TX at the American Airlines Center. Now, you won't hear me saying that I am a concert connoisseur by any means. I have seen a few in my day, most smaller than others. However, I will say that Keith Urban puts on one of the best shows I've ever seen with my own two eyes either live or on DVD.
Surprisingly, he is a lot better guitarist than his CD's let on. This man can wail on the guitar. He also sings pretty dang well live. His five bandmates were also incredible musicians. Over the course of the show, all played at least four different instruments. Finally, he played over two hours and fifteen minutes of his own music. The show was well worth the money.
There are a lot more details of the show that I would love to explain but don't feel that I could do justice to them in writing. All I'm gonna say is...if you get the chance to see him - go, and if you get the chance to grab a DVD - buy it.
This brings up a good question. What is the best concert you have ever seen live? I love DVD shows, but they won't count here. Let's hear it.

First off, yeah, Keith Urban is a painfully underrated guitarist, but people don't want to hear guitar. For shame.
Second of all, in that picture he is playing my guitar. Her name is Ebony.
Thirdly, Bob Schnieder and Mitch Watkins at Antones/ Allman Brothers Band/ Dickey Betts and Great Southern.
