It's All A Headache To Me
Last week, alongside 28 other students, I officially began what my professor said (in an obvious effort to calm our nerves and assure us of our future successes) would be "the most difficult undertaking of our undergraduate careers"... Greek.
It is as daunting as he said, and we are moving pretty stinking fast already. We had our first class on Thursday and our first test on Tuesday. I got an A, and was one of the 15 passing grades out of 28 students. It seems as though it will be a lot of memorization, a lot of long nights, and a lot of headaches. However, I love languages and think that in the end, all of the hard work will be well worth it.
For you guys (and gals) who have been through a biblical language course or two, do you have any suggestions about how to make this whole process any easier/less stressful?

Yeah, GET OUT!!!!!
Flashcards... Lots, and lots, and lots of stinking flashcards!
I used PowerPoint to make all of mine. You just have to alternate the back side so they line up correctly when you print them out using the "Handout" option with 6 slides per page. But a good pencil and scissors worlks also.
Something I'm doing for Hebrew is saving my cards as images and loading those images into my iPod, then I can scroll through them while listening to tunes!
